Bunce then accompanies Boggis and Bean into digging the Foxes out, first with shovels, followed by caterpillar tractors, and finally a mass sniper team consisting of their collective work force at the farms. Fox fails, as he falls into the trap, but only loses his tail in the process. Bean explains that he's located the Foxes home and plans for them to ambush Mr. Bunce simply exclaims that the fox is laughing at them, but adds that he's too sneaky to kill. A considerable supply of frozen ducks and geese are stolen as a result.īunce soon meets with his neighbors Boggis and Bean to discuss Mr. This is due to Bunce completely ignoring the camera monitors, his back turned to them, and reading a magazine on the Alpine mountains.
#WHO WAS THE PODUCER OF FANTASTIC MR.FOX SERIES#
Fox and his accomplice Kylie journey to Bunce's farm, where despite a series of security cameras tracks their every movement, they easily evade capture. His food is homemade donuts with smashed-up goose livers injected into them " (the original novel reveals that this gave him both a foul temper and stomach aches).Īfter stealing chicken livestock from Boggis's farm, Mr. He’s approximately the size of a pot-bellied dwarf, and his chin would be underwater in the shallow end of any swimming pool on the planet. He is further described as "a duck and goose farmer. Bunce is voiced by Hugo Guinness.Īccording to Clive Badger, Bunce is described as one of the three "meanest, nastiest, ugliest farmers" in the history of the local valley. After repeated thefts on Boggis and Bean's farms, Bunce allies with them to have Mr. He is the second of the three farmers to have his duck and goose livestock stolen by Mr. His associates include Walter Boggis and Franklin Bean. The visual style and animation is phenomenal and the script is wonderfully creative and funny.Nathan Bunce is one of the three main antagonists of Fantastic Mr. This also proves that animated films are not just for kids when done well. This really is a great example of the art that can be achieved when passionate talented individuals are behind the wheel. Honestly, though that is the only thing I disliked about this. I thought those little moments just weren’t in step with overall “fantastic” energy of the rest of the film. There’s really only one little detail I didn’t care for was the two short random dancing scenes.

I’m sure that other actors would have still done a nice job but I am glad they got Clooney and Streep because they really do fit these main characters so well. The rest of the cast does a nice job as well. Fox and Meryl Streep, as always, is great. George Clooney gives a delightful amusing voice performance as Mr. The cast assists the script in rounding out these animals. The majority of the characters are funny, likable, and quirky (in a good way). The characters are very well put together too. It’s really impossible to get bored watching this because of the masterful writing/visuals and the pacing. I love how fast and high energy this thing is. The pacing and flow is nearly seamless, too. You wouldn’t think that any drama in this kind of film would be convincing but it actually is. In addition to the comedy, the tiny dramatic bits are well realized too. That’s just another example of the creativity that abounds within Fantastic Mr. One of the creative and funny gags they use multiple times throughout is the animals saying the word “cuss” in place of what would normally be an expletive.
